Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated was founded in 1913 by 22 visionary women who embodied true sisterhood, scholarship, service, and social action. Rooted in Christian principles, our Founders laid the groundwork for a legacy of service to others and a steadfast commitment to meeting the needs of our communities. The Pensacola Alumnae Chapter was chartered on April 20, 1949, by eight remarkable women as the Delta Alpha Sigma Chapter. In 1956, following a national nomenclature revision, we proudly became the Pensacola Alumnae Chapter. I am honored and humbled to serve as President of the Pensacola Alumnae Chapter for the 2025–2027 term.

 

Our chapter remains committed to the mission of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, through our dedication to the Five-Point Programmatic Thrust:

Our membership is composed of extraordinary women achieving extraordinary results. Together, we work to address critical issues affecting our children, our elders, and the broader community, always striving to create meaningful and lasting change. As agents of progress, the Pensacola Alumnae Chapter will continue to honor the legacy of our 22 Founders by making a positive difference.
